Venetians are a timeless window furnishing which over the years have come to be manufactured in many different materials.
Venetian
Venetians are horizontal slats which come in different widths from 25mm to 63mm. They can be tilted to control light and privacy, and can be motorised.*
Did you know that tilting Venetian blinds up to reflect light towards the ceiling in the summer will lower the temperature in your room? You can achieve the opposite effect in wintertime too, by aiming the light towards the floor where heat will rise and eventually make the room warmer.
PVC
Our pvc offering, visionwood, is available in 12 designer colours and is a modern contemporary choice, coordinating perfectly to any interior space requiring light control and privacy. They are available in 50mm or 63mm slats.
Visionwood is a sustainable alternative to natural wood with low maintenance slats that are washable and fade resistant.
Timber
If you are looking for a traditional look, you can’t go past the warmth and beauty of an oiled cedar, stained cedar or basswood. All of these mediums have been chosen to produce venetians due to their thermal qualities and dimensional stability, however it should be noted with our fierce Queensland sun, dark coloured stains facing west should be avoided.
Aluminium
Aluminium Venetians are still popular in offices, and our 50mm option has gained ground in the modern contemporary segment of the market.
